Join other young Catholic professionals in their 20s and 30s for YCP Chicago's April Executive Speaker Series with Peter O'Leary - How I Believe
Peter O’Leary is the author of six books of poetry, most recently The Sampo, a book-length poem about a wizard, a sorceress, and the quest for a magical object set in the north country of Scandinavia. A new book of poetry, Earth Is Best, about mushroom foraging and altered states of consciousness, will be published in 2019. He is also the author of two books of literary criticism, most recently, Thick and Dazzling Darkness: Religious Poetry in a Secular Age. He teaches courses in religion and poetry at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago as well as creative writing courses at the University of Chicago, where he graduated from the Divinity School with a doctorate in Religion and Literature. He belongs to Ascension Church in Oak Park, where he is a lector as well as a seventh-grade catechist. His website is: www.luxhominem.com
