  • Executive Speaker Series with Sarah Elk

    Join us Tuesday, June 5th for our Executive Speaker Series with Sarah Elk!

    Sarah is a Partner in the Chicago office of Bain & Company, Inc. 

    With over 15 years of consulting experience, she has advised business leaders across a wide range of industries including retail, healthcare, automotive, technology, aerospace, consumer products, and financial services

    Sarah is passionate about transforming large companies, especially those experiencing technology or business model disruption. 

    She has deep expertise in strategy, performance improvement, organizational design and change management.  She serves as Bain’s global leader for zero-based organizational redesign. 

    Sarah began her career at Merck & Co., Inc. after earning her BS in environmental engineering from Northwestern University.  She also holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

    Sarah currently serves as the President of the DuPage County chapter of Legatus.   She is on the Board of Advisors for Catholic Charities for the Archdiocese of Chicago.   And, she is a partner in Social Venture Partners, an organization focused on early stage investing in Chicago area non-profits. 

    Sarah and her husband have four children ages middle school to toddler.  She loves wine (despite her husband’s beer venture, Karetas Brewing) and enjoys golfing (poorly).

    Join other young Catholic professionals in their 20s and 30s for YCP Chicago's Networking Happy Hour at AceBounce! 

    AceBounce has generously donated 3 ping pong tables for the evening, as well as pizza and appetizers. Break the ice over a game of ping pong!

    Come learn more about YCP Chicago's dynamic community and find out how you can become more involved. The event is a perfect opportunity to meet other young, Catholic professionals who are "Working in Witness for Christ."

    Join us Tuesday, July 10th for our Executive Speaker Series with Kay Wigton McBrearty!

    Kay Wigton McBrearty is the founder and principal of Waterville Partners, a firm leading individuals through a self-discovery process enabling them to create a sustainable plan for achieving career fulfillment and working with organizations or corporate clients on culture and change management projects.

    Ms. McBrearty has more than 20 years of experience in various leadership roles including: Operations, Director of Staffing & College Relations, Director of Shared Values and Director of Strategy & Innovation. She has served on Mendoza College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council for 12 years

    Kay has successfully led global change initiatives and mentored countless team members. She has hired hundreds of employees, redeployed team members, led and developed teams, managed P&Ls, traveled the globe and drove operational excellence as a black belt in Six Sigma. She began Waterville Partners over a decade ago to provide consulting services to corporate clients on various strategy, change management and culture initiatives.

    She earned BBA in Marketing, from University of Notre Dame. She is the parent of two children entering 5th and 6th grades at St. Francis Xavier in Wilmette.
