Mass will be held at 6:15 PM prior to the event. Ms. Bohlen’s talk is entitled “Working in Witness for Christ: Integrating Faith into Professional Life”. Betsy Bohlen joined the Archdiocese in 2011 after many years of involvement through pro bono consulting engagements and as a member of the Archdiocesan Finance Council. Ms. Bohlen was appointed to the position of COO for the Archdiocese of Chicago by Archbishop Blase Cupich in 2015.
Prior to the Archdiocese, Ms. Bohlen was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company for 16 years. She was based primarily out of the Chicago office but also re-located for several months to McKinsey’s Beijing, Hong Kong and New Delhi offices. Ms. Bohlen was elected a partner of the firm in 2003.
Before joining McKinsey, Ms. Bohlen was in investment officer for the Slovak American Enterprise Fund in Bratislava, Slovakia and a financial analyst at the First Boston Corporation (now Credit Suisse), a global investment bank. Ms. Bohlen holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. She received her Bachelor’s degree in economics, with a minor in theology, from the University of Notre Dame.
