Executive Speaker Series with Judge Thomas More Donnelly

Please join us for our upcoming Executive Speaker Series with Judge Thomas More Donnelly, an Associate Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County who authored an opinion in a highly publicized First Amendment case involving the Occupy Chicago protests. The event will begin with Mass at 6:15pm, followed by the formal program from 7 to 9pm at St. John Cantius, 825 N. Carpenter St., Chicago.

Having served as a judge since 2000, Judge Donnelly has presided over hundreds of jury trials in both criminal and civil matters. He has served in traffic, domestic violence, misdemeanor jury, and civil jury courtroom and chairs both the Illinois Judicial College Board of Trustees as well as the Judicial Education Committee of the Illinois Judicial Conference.
He has been teaching at Loyola Law School for over 25 years as an instructor and adjunct professor, he currently teaches Illinois Litigation. Before becoming a judge, he clerked for the Honorable Mary Ann G. McMorrow and served as an assistant public defender for thirteen years. He obtained his law degree from Loyola Law School and his bachelor’s degree from St. John’s College.
Judge Donnelly also serves as the first vice-president of the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Chicago. He belongs to Queen of Angel’s parish and lives in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood with his wife and four boys.
